Sustainable transition: pushing ahead, with more complexity
Throughout spring 2022, BlackRock Portfolio Consulting partnered with ~170 investors across Europe (Private Banks, Retail Banks, and Asset Managers) for an annual review of their portfolio construction and asset allocation practices relating to sustainability. Our analysis encompasses: A survey of our clients’ sustainability preferences and qualitative insights on their investment approaches. An analysis of clients’ model portfolios through the lens of Aladdin (BlackRock risk management platform), providing quantitative insights on their current sustainable positioning and asset allocation choices, and how these have shifted over time (vs. results from our 2021 equivalent sustainability study). Anecdotal views that our portfolio consultants have gathered through day-to-day client interactions on restructuring portfolios for investors.
